QUOTABLE QUOTES
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” –C.S. Lewis
“There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” –C.S. Lewis
“Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” –Carrie Ten Boom
“God is looking for those with whom He can do the impossible—what a pity that we plan only the things that we can do by ourselves.”
–A.W. Tozer
“One hundred religious persons knit into a unity by careful organization do not constitute a church any more than eleven dead men make a football team.” –A.W. Tozer
“God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile.” –Max Lucado
“I have found that trying to become more like JESUS yields far better results than trying to become a better ME.” –Dale McCamish

RESOLVED
You may not get caught up in making resolutions for the new year. However, I encourage you to make an effort to attend every meeting in 2022 and to encourage other men from your congregation to come with you. You also have “neighboring” congregations who do not regularly attend meetings. A personal invitation to “pick them up” or “share a ride” may be just the encouragement they need to become more involved. My challenge to you is to pray daily for Men for Christ, attend and invite others, and financially support our current works.

STOP PLAYING CHURCH
As church attendance numbers fade across the nation and online services become very convenient it’s important to remember why church attendance for you and your family matters so much. You can’t serve from your sofa. You can’t have community of faith on your sofa. You can’t experience the power of a room full of believers worshipping together on your sofa. Christians aren’t consumers. We are contributors. We don’t watch. We engage. We give. We sacrifice. We encourage. We pray for the hurting. We do life together. The church needs you! And you need the church! (Copied)

WINTER WEATHER ALERT
If weather conditions require the cancellation of our meetings, information will be posted on the website as soon as possible. www.kymenforchrist.org. You may also contact any member of the Executive Committee.

JESUS IS COMING AGAIN!
The “coming again” of Jesus is mentioned more than 300 times in the New Testament. Check out John 14:1-3, Acts 1:11, I Thes. 4:13-18, 2 Thes. 1:7-10, Hebrews 9:28, and 2 Peter 3:1-18. To what did Jesus compare His second coming? (1) It will be like lightning which shoots instantly from one section of the sky to another, not giving warning as to where it will start or stop. (2) It will be similar to the destruction which came in the days of Noah (everything was progressing normally, and then the end came). (3) It will happen with the swiftness with which destruction came to Sodom (with the exception of Lot’s family, the city’s inhabitants had no warning about what was going to happen). From these illustrations we learn that no signs (none that can be interpreted) will precede His coming. When things are normal, when people are not expecting it, Jesus will return. Material is reprinted from The Jesus Years by Thomas D. Thurman (1977). Note: This book is still available from Amazon.com.
