FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Have you ever wondered what spring means in a biblical context? As nature awakens and flowers bloom, this season holds deep significance beyond just warmer weather. It symbolizes renewal, hope, and the promise of new beginnings, themes that resonate throughout scripture.
Renewal and Restoration
Ezekiel 36:26 “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
The Season of Growth
Matthew 9:37 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;”
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
The Flowers of the Field
Song of Solomon 2:12 “The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. “
Matthew 6:28-30 “And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”
