“The framers of our Constitution meant we were to have freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.” - Billy Graham
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Since celebrating another 4th of July and thinking about all the Freedom’s we so fortunately enjoy in this country; I wonder if we’ve considered what “Freedom In Christ” looks like in our daily lives?
FREE FROM SHAME, GUILT & DEATH.
Romans 6:22 “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.”
FREE FROM SIN & CONDEMNATION.
Romans 8:1-2 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
FREE FROM FEAR & HOPELESSNESS.
2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Lord is, there is freedom.”
IN SUMMARY:
“Freedom In Christ” means that our value is not determined by our achievements or failures, but by the unwavering love of Jesus Christ. Therefore, through Christ’s love we truly are FREE from sin, shame, guilt, condemnation, fear, hopelessness and even death. So, let us be sure to share that good news with others this month!
